Telmo Vicente was born in Setúbal, Portugal. The musical background at Luisa Todi Academy, was the seed, that grew later, into love for the art of filmmaking.
He moved to Lisbon when he was 20 years old, to pursuit his dream of studying this craft at U.L.H.T. At this university he completed his degree in cinema, video and multimedia communication in 2005.
After that, he immediately began to work as an AD, learning his way around the set. In the meanwhile, he went to UK and US, in a search to discover, his own authentic voice. He did Judith Weston "Directing Actors", Alan Myerson "Directing Actors for the camera", Mark Kohl "Directing TV Commercials”, Robert Mckee "Story" and "Genre", and several workshops on cinematography, editing and production design.
He was assistant director on more than 100 commercials.
His first short film “Appetizer” won best director award at the 48 hours film festival. His second short film “Breathe” was already officially selected at the international short film festival, Virginia, USA.
On he's latest work, we can find "HORSE”, the commercial that won Silver at ADCE on TV Commercials, Gold for best film at CCP 2015 and was officialy selected at El OJO Iberoamérica film festival. Vodafone TV got bronze, Best Campaign 2013 at creativity awards M&P Portugal. Last year, Marketeer magazine published "BIG Social Experiment" on top 10 Campaign of the year.
